British Knitting & Crochet Awards
Now in their fourteenth year, the British Knitting & Crochet Awards are widely recognised as the biggest and most important in the industry, rewarding companies and individuals from the biggest players to the smallest independents. They are run annually and alongside the reader-voted categories now include a separate trade component, with a select number of pay-to-enter categories and winners chosen by a panel of expert judges. It’s an excellent opportunity to open up your brand to a wider audience and benefit from the prestige offered by these celebrated awards.
British Sewing Awards
One of the most important annual events in the crafting industry, the British Sewing Awards is run every year by Sew magazine. There are three stages to these awards: the nomination process starts in March, when the sewing and haberdashery community nominates its favourites in 26 categories. This is then shortlisted and put to a vote, along with bonus categories hand-picked by an expert judging panel. Finally, the overall winners are announced at the end of the year.
Craft Business Awards
The Craft Business Awards are the standard setting trade awards for the craft industry. The Craft Business Awards are split into categories that cover everything from independent shops and products, right up to big brands. We’re here to celebrate and recognise excellence within our vibrant sector.
Dressmaker of the Year
Sew magazine’s exclusive dressmaking competition aims to raise the profile of sewing by celebrating the UK’s best amateur stitchers who are invited to submit their designs to the various tailor-made categories in Dressmaker of the Year. The competition, now in its fifth season, returns in 2022 boasting, as usual, a star-studded line-up of celebrity sewing judges and new opportunities for sponsorship as home sewing is further energised by the Great British Sewing Bee television series. Find out more about the refreshed and re-vamped eagerly awaited competition that promises to be one of the most thrilling DIY couture events in the calendar.
